craftyhunnypie
Yes Mrs - you better had eat your heart out... Hubby has just ordered us a new oven It's a Cannon 60ETC in cream. It might sound daft, but I get excited about having anything new - anything at all. But a new oven. (swoon). Just imagine all the nice hotpots, pies, puddings & cakes that will be coming out of it. Hubby has already put in an order for one of my speciality coffee cakes a week on Wednesday. I think some nice shiny new unusual shaped baking tins might be called for too. I really need a Gugelhupf tin! Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
It's coming on the 16th December - so I will be able to try out a batch of mince pies in it. A Gugelhupf baking tin is a sort of tin for producing a dome / pudding basin shaped cake with a hole in the middle. A bit like that cake that Nigella made last year in her Xmas program - looked like a ring of trees. I had a cheap one - but it's worn out now. Do loads of baking.I think you can get those tins from Jane Ashers website. I have been seriously tempted to buy one, but they are quite expensive. I am however making Nigellas Chocolate fruit christmas cake this week. I have made it twice before and it is absolutely gorgeous.

docsquid
That sounds fantastic. We had to have a new cooker (which arrived yesterday) as the oven thermostat no longer worked and everything was singed to a crisp. It is so exciting planning what you are going to bake, particularly since I haven't been able to bake anything other than pizza for more than a year! Just make sure you tell us what you have been baking so we can share in the excitement!
craftyhunnypie
Well our grill stopped working, so we've been barbequeing & using the caravan grill for months. It will be nice to do eggy bread & chhesy toast again in the house. Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
I have an Austrian & German cookbook that was bought me by Austrian family when I lived there. I also love the Sacher torte from that book. Hubby's been planning a right good list of delicacies for the new oven. I keep telling him it will just cook - it won't do magic or beam him up & things like that! Emma.x
dippy bird
I have been very naughty and ordered the mould for the pine tree cake. I can't wait for it to arrive - I have promised to bake the cake for my sisters office party. I also made some of Nigellas mince pies last week with the cranberry's. Totally yummy!
