fluffymuppet
Hi guys, I washed the labels off some jam jars yesterday and it has left the glue behind. It doesn't seem susceptible to hot soapy water. Is there an easy way to get it off? Thanks Emma

bronze
On that line of thinking if you don't have either of those to hand maybe just try a cooking oil

Charlottechicken
You can buy something called sticky stuff remover, I got mine from Lakeland, it smells of orange oil. It claims to remove adhesives, gum, tar, wax, crayon, grease and grime off china, glass, plastic, fabric, paintwork, skin and hair. It is also non toxic, non caustic and non flammable ......phew! Hope that helps!
The Dogmother
That sounds good Claire, I shall have to look out for that when I go to Stratford on Saturday.
Lesley
I use that one, it is really good - and the smell doesn't give me migraines as some of the others would.
Lindy Loo
I use either nail polish remover or a bit of furniture polish (surprisingly a squirt of Pledge usually does the trick).

You don't get a 'high' with it either As an aside, have you ever got a headache from a new magazine or catalogue, some of them really whiff!
