I love robins no matter what size . I cannot tell you how upset I was with Dave when he caught and ate one

I love robins too. One of our cats brought one in once. I was not very happy I do think the photo looks more like the robin has fluffed up his feathers than he has been eating too many cake crumbs. We had a canary many years ago, and she was such a tiny thing. But when she fluffed up her feathers, she could make herself look really big.

I think Dave is a cat. Cool name for a cat - not a cattish name but more people call their aniamls human names. YS has a friend with a dog named Bryan - I creased up when i heard

Yes Dave is one of my cats. He's the black one in my signature below. He's such a good/bad catcher of small things. He dropped a mouse in the kitchen yesterday and staked the fridge out all day. He's got it overnight.

 

I love the name Bryan for a dog, very funny.

I love Robins too, we have 2 robins that visit out garden and tap on the kitchen window wanting to be fed

 

As if 12 demanding chickens wasn't bad enough

We have one robin who comes regularly and 6-8 blackbirds stripping the rowan tree of berries. Not bad for a London garden. Could this be a sign of bad winter? I love robins - never seen one quite as plump as him.

Sarah, that pic is just beautiful I love the shape of a robin's head, the eyes appear to be on the top corners

 

To be honest, I did wonder if he was just fluffed up, you can actually see a lot of feather detail which you wouldn't see if his feathers were flat. They are still stunning pictures though

 

Interesting, nochucksyet, I have a couple of robins in my garden too (since late summer), and several blackbirds stripping the pyracanthus berries Does that mean we are in for a hard winter? As long as it's dry I suppose
