Margalot
Hello, I am thinking of buying my inlaws a digital photo frame for xmas, but before I do can anyone tell me if you can plug a USB memory stick into them? What I wanted to do was put loads of pictures onto a memory stick so they had a good selection starting point. they do have a digital camera, but I wanted to give them lots of pictures of their grandchildren etc. Thank you
Chucky Mama
We gave a frame to MIL last year and loaded a heap of photos on to the memory card for her. We then made a DVD showing her how to update it (very funny). Needless to say that we take the card and update it for her with any photos that she want to put on. Margalot
You say memory card? is that the one from the camera? How do you put images onto a memory card? I was thinking one of the usb stick things? ( I'm a Techno wally here!)
PurpleTree
The one's my gran and my grampy have, have a memory card in them and you can add a USB stick too, so we've uploaded pics to the USB for them and that plugs in the back. They must be pretty easy to use as they seem to get on with them ok.
yvonne
Digital frames are GREAT. My other half bought me one last Xmas and I just bought one for a 100th b/d pressie and loaded up actually at the party with shots of the day. I suggest you pop in to one of the better retailers and find a helpful assistant as they do seem to have a variety of ways of loading photos. I think they generally can be connected to a PC or can copy photos directly from the card which the camera uses. Not sure about USB sticks, but I suspect most if not all can also be done that way. You could try something like Amazon too as that often also has very detailed specifications. Hope this helps.
Chucky Mama
You say memory card? is that the one from the camera? How do you put images onto a memory card? I was thinking one of the usb stick things? ( I'm a Techno wally here!) No the memory card goes into the picture frame itself so you can just load a stack of piccies on to the card and Bob's your uncle.
chelsea
Techno wally here too....but just wanted to add what a lovely idea for a present. We have one and it's on every day and you can store lots of photos and keep changing them too, it's great!
Ain't Nobody Here
I bought one last Christmas (for myself ) and love it . It's a Jessop's own brand and I'm really pleased with it. It's one you put a card in the back of (I load the pictures onto the card while it's in my camera & attached to a PC, then take the card out and leave it in the frame). The only criticism I have is that it doesn't have the option to change the photo once a day which I would like (you can do it manually but I can never be bothered!). It's a really big screen too which might be good (depending on their age ).

sparkysmum
We gave a Sony "S" Frame to my Mum for her 80th birthday. She loves it although we manage the technology for her. It def can take a memory card but not sure about mem. stick. Check them out online before you buy. There is a vast amount of info available.
