frogprincess
Is it all right for chickens to eat tinned sweetcorn? One of the ingredients is salt.
Egluntyne
Rinse it well and it will be OK.
curlu
Mine adore sweetcorn.....altho I've never thought to rinse it!
Valkyrie
That's probably why mine hate it. But they do like it on the cob - I've got one of the peanut feeders and just slot it in there - I saw someone else do this so copied the idea. Can't remember who it was, but thankies. Valkyrie
Just looked at our tinned corn - just water and corn, no other additives, but it is organic - whether that makes a difference I don't know. So it is possible to get sweetcorn without salt - you just need to check the ingredients before you buy.
Fur 'n' Feathers
We've moved over to thawed out frozen sweetcorn as it's cheaper & doesn't appear to have any addititives.
chick wiggle
My girls would bite your hand off for tinned sweetcorn - they love it. I rinse it too though.
Chucky1
Our's love it too Green Giant seem to do a number of varieties, only one of which seems to be without sugar or salt (blue banner I think). It's a pity because Tesco amongst others seems to have offers on the other sort Don't they know what my gals like?
batcatz
I've started giving mine the tesco mini frozen corn on the cob. I take a couple out of the freezer the night before. Not sure if its cheaper, but I just give them it occasionally as a treat.
poachedegg
You can get tinned sweetcorn from various places that don't have added salt and sugar - Aldi and Ocado (waitrose) is where I get mine from........and they love it!
WarrensWorld
We've moved over to thawed out frozen sweetcorn as it's cheaper & doesn't appear to have any addititives. Same here, they'll bite your hand off to get some. They love sweet corn nearly as much as grapes.
