Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

OK, so I know John Lewis is not the best place to buy wool (especially after my 'discussion' with an assistant about dye lots the other day. But if you have some John Lewis vouchers and wanted to spend them on wool which is the best store to visit.

 

I live near Milton Keynes, but Don't know whether there are better ones that I just might decide to pay a visit to!!

We have a nice shiny new JL in Leicester, but from what I recall of the MK store, the haberdashery department is not as big.

oooo i will have to remember that one as i love john lewis (for everything else anyway!!) i drive down the M40 now and again and see the one at high wycombe but never stopped to look in that one yet.

High Wycombe doesn't have wool there - so don't waste a trip for it. It only has the furnishing fabric and curtains. Not even threads or sewing things - although they have some sewing machines I think - but can't remember. Mainly stuff for the house. Reading is the nearest one with wool to us - actually that is the only one nearest us.

I went into J L at London Oxford Circus to look at the wool, particularly to find some crochet cotton. There was so little, I could not believe it. I have now ordered what I want from Purplelindacrafts on the internet.

They obviously aren't up to date with the crafty folk. Surprising as you'd think that was a big enough store up there. Never mind - where there's a will, there's a way.
