Griffin they fixed the parking on double yellows here the first monday they went 'live' 8 tickets in as many miutes on one corner the crafty beggar printed them off from a distance they never saw him coming

Even that doesn't deter them! Every few weeks the PCSOs are out in force issuing tickets but the same culprits still park there! I think part of the reason why is that it's quite an affluent town and the fine on a parking ticket is loose change to some

I feel your pain and everyone else's who has to put up with parents on the school run. We too live opposite a primary school and parents park on the verges (now mud baths), in the middle of the road, on the pavement, across everyone's driveways and, the other week, one cheeky so and so actually parked ON our driveway!!

The worst bit is you just cannot see properly and there are small kids running out into the road from behind the cars. Sooner or later there'll be an accident.

The road is covered in pretty zig zags, double yellows, single yellows and lovely signs forbidding parking but no-one takes any notice. I've tried complaining to the school, to the council, to the police and I know my neighbours have too. About twice a year the PCSO comes and, for that day, it's fine. The next we're back to square one.

The only way you're going to stop your parents Tiggy is with a physical barrier or hitting them in the pocket. The fake clamping idea is a good one though. Good luck!

I forgot to add the reason the yellow lines ect work by us is the fact that the parking wardens come round about every six weeks and don't take prisoners most times the tickets are printed before the drivers have seen them so the tickets stand weather or not they make contact with the cars

How annoying, the school definitely ought to be brought to task.

We have a similar problem at work - the drive to our side car park is shared by the driving test centre and a surgery; people using both are always parking in our private (signs up all over the place) car park. A few years back, I got some signs made up about clamping and it worked a treat.

I once worked at a place with a small car park in the middle of a busy town, so we used to get quite a few people trying it on - and blocking the staff in at the same time. Our office manager used to put big A4 sized stickers on the driver's side of the windscreen - which did not come off easily. The stickers had a very polite message saying that it was a private car park, with easily read signs everywhere and that the driver was trespassing!

I'm not sure that would be allowed now! (it was about 20 years ago!)

I love the clamping method though!
