Charlottechicken
Nice that you have seen some proper snow this winter Clare! I always think it is the warmth of the city which means we either don't get any landing or it melts when it does land. If you think of all the services under roads and pavements in urban areas, all those pockets of warm air which stop the ground from properly freezing, and the heat from houses and vehicles which must cover us in a bubble of slightly warmer air than the countryside. We managed to hang on to the only snowfall (it snowed on 17th) until Christmas day, when it all melted away. I have found a patch of frozen snow on my lawn though, it's around 2 inches by four, do you think I should put it in the freezer to preserve it
Ain't Nobody Here
We're getting more snow . It's lying quite deeply already (most of the snow in the picture was there already but the paths that were cleared are completely covered again). Purplemaniacs
We still had snow on the ground from before but it also snowed in the early hours of Christmas Day as cars that were clear of snow had again turned white. We walked to church and wondered how many years GD who is five would have to wait to walk in snow again on Christmas morning.
