Lesley
So who did have a White Christmas?? - either laying snow or some of the fresh stuff? We had blazing sunshine - even the frost had gone! We had the back door and conservatory windows open We may as well gone for a Hawaiian themed fancy dress! I wouldn't mind but the sun showed up all the filth and muck I'd been hoping to hide I really must clean the windows soon........ Temperature of 2 C yesterday.....and 4 C today...... Cinnamon
We still had about 3-4 inches on the ground yesterday,& a lovely sunny day with it. There is still a fair bit of snow this morning,& I was woken 3 times last night by big sheets of snow sliding down the roof
Lesley
I'm very - especially after we have a covering of snow and everywhere was white, right up until Wednesday
Snowy
We had a crispy layer from the day before, so woke up to white, but it was cloudy and began to melt. All gone now and glorious sunshine!! At least it's gone off the chicken's roof - they have daylight again!
bellekatz
We still have frozen snow on the ground. the pavements and roads are like ice-rinks - I couldnt even get the car back on the drive cos I was atking it slowly and the back wheels were spinning Scarey stuff It is sunny today so I am hoping it will melt some, as long as it doesnt freeze again tonight. I envy all those of you who have already got rid of it!

Egluntyne
Doesn't snow have to fall on the roof of the Met Office actually on Christmas Day or summat before the bookies pay out? How many of us had a fiver on it?
Mrs Frugal
I think we probably qualify for an official white Christmas as there was fresh snow on the car roof when we got up on Christmas Day. We still have snow on the ground today......but it's melting fast now.
chelsea
Hard frost so it looked like we had had a dusting even though we hadn't.
Ain't Nobody Here
We had about 4 or 5 inches until this morning when it started melting slowly (although it was snowing again a while back ). Heavy snow was forecast for Christmas Eve night but that never happened .
Lewis
We still had snow on the ground ... and a tiny bit fell at 1 in the morning Its all started to melt today so all looks messy
Chook n Boo Mum
No white stuff for us...not fresh nor leftover I spent all day in bed yesterday & awoke several times with the sun streaming through the window & boiling my already hot head even further.....looked lovely from where I was laying though We seem to be in a snowfree pocket, after the first icy snowfall last week we've had nothing new......too close to the sea I s'pose ! Everything is sludgy mud again since the temps rose & stayed above freezing Sha x
Blackrocksrock
We have 7 - 8" lying for the last few days and it snowed last night too - it is crunchy on the top and was hell to get it defrosted this morning - had to break a crust on the top then brush it off the car - there was 2" of ice round the car and it was ages before it was clear. The car started 1st time though and was cosy in the wrap of snow!.
Ms Marple
We still have lots of snow lying on the ground even though it is trying to thaw like mad. Could not get cars into drive on Christams eve, due to ice and snow. Bad timing for us as we half way through having our drive done when weather went chaotic! Poor ES bumped my car trying to get it out of our driveway Still can't believe how magnanimous I was with my 'Don't worry love its only a car are you ok?'. He was very shaken up actually and in the end it is only a lump of metal!!
SarahJo
White Christmas of lying snow for us - but melting now and leaving a sodden mess

Valkyrie
Not much left after tons of rain last night. Next door is still white. I think our back garden has a lot of protection by the shrubs and different levels. The front get's the sun. Yesterday we could just about see the tips of grass where the odd big tussock was breaking through just before dark - and then it froze. By the morning there was big sections of grass. The birds are highly delighted. Of course I was hoping that it would last a little longer - MIL is here.
Alis girls
All gone here. and its warmer - they have given out bad weather again next week - typical back at work Tues for one day.
Blackrocksrock
All gone here. and its warmer - they have given out bad weather again next week - typical back at work Tues for one day. At this present time its minus 8.7 and going up and down and is very cold - it was 0.0 this morning and I thought it would thaw but it did not and walking the dog was a real trudge through inches of snow with a hard crust on top - a real workout! Chicky
Had a bit of leftover snow/ice yesterday but loads of rain today washed it all away Still really slippy underfoot. We only had a dusting of snow in the first place. My Grandpa and Uncles live in Scotland and have had loads. My cousins live in Winchester and have also had loads. I think we are the only people in the country to have hardly anything. Fell over yesterday on the ice really
AJuff
We had lots of fluffy white snow falling on christmas eve leaving a beautiful white covering in the morning. Didn't actually snow on the day but we're classing it as our first white Christmas in Northumberland.
The Dogmother
We still had some snow on the ground yesterday, but none fell. When we dropped Phil's folks back to the farm, I was astounded at the amount of snow they'd had (their lane has only just reopened) the ridge of snow in the middle of the lane was high enough to be s"Ooops, word censored!"ing the bottom of the car, and there were abandoned vehicles all the way up the ridge.
