New hens not going into Eglu Go Up

Daisys secondary school is open but my other three girls are at home because their schools are closed. We've had almost as much snow as we got last week overnight, much of it in the last few hours. Mr Griffin left for work extra early today because he was driving out of his way to pick up a colleague who's car has died. They've still not got to work! The roads are in chaos and I doubt very much he'll be able to get back up the hill to our house tonight

My girls school & college are both shut today,so eldest can't do her Psychology exam

 

Tomorrow youngest has a science exam,& on the school website it has just been updated to say that the exam will be taking place,there will be no school coaches running (there is no way it would get through my village today anyhow) & all pupils MUST make their way in & sit the exam.

Now,from where I am there are several routes into Henley,but all but the main road are closed,so everyone is using the main road,causing massive congestion.I was sat in it for an hour yesterday before I gave up & went home.

The school carpark still has not been cleared since the big dump of snow last tuesday & is inaccesible.

Because of the situation of the school,on a narrow country lane,it will be nigh on impossible to get her there,so I am at a loss as to what to do really.

All of my 3 are at home YD's school is closed the other 2 are open but one was announced as closed by mistake on local radio so we decided not to bother with DS as he gets the same bus and conditions on roads around the school were bad enough yesterday without fresh snow. We only found out that ED's school was actually open after the bus had gone

 

We were supposed to be taking ED to a 6th form open evening tonight, this has now be postponed until the 27th and now clashes with the only other school she wants to look at.

Same school for both of us again! I did ring and explain the reason she wasn't in was not only the radio saying the school was closed, but the school not puting any information on its website until after the bus has already departed is rather unheplful - the staff member (who leaves home at 7 am) also thought they needed to get the website update sooner for both staff & pupils.

 

Although DD is in the year below I was going to go to the 6th form opening evenings - like you have 2 competitors now holding them on the same night is not helpful.

My school is closed except for 6thformers doing exams. It was closed last week on tuesday, wednesday and thursday. Fingers crossed for the next 2 days.

My old secondary school is open, for all students, esp. those doing exams, but lunch has been shortened and then everyone goes home early. But every day people have to check the website after 7am to see if it will be open or not

Despite a sprinkling of snow overnight school stayed open - it helped that not really freezing i think snow not as slippy as ice!
