Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

Ok, Christmas is over,so I think we should kickstart the book group again

 

We will start with Chicklits choice 'Tell me your secret' by Diedre Purcell,to be read now & discussed at the start of MARCH (to give us all time),after which we will carry on through the list on the sticky above.

 

If anyone would like to drop out,it would be really useful if you could let me know now,so that I don't have to chase you up for your reading choice in the following months,please

Just drop me a pm,or let me know on this thread.

For everyone still interested in participating,I will contact you a month or so before your book is due to be read.

I'm in but don't have a copy of the book yet, just off to the library. I have been gradually gathering the previous books and have just found one of the early books which I will read too.

 

The book club gave me 2 of my best reads last year, The Kite Runner and The Book Thief.

 

Edited to say it is showing as available in my local library, so off I go

My copy arrived this morning. It is completely different from anything I'd normally read, so I'll be really looking forward to trying it.

I have read quite a few books that I would not normally read as a result of the book group and other recomendations on here and I have enjoyed pretty much every one.

Thats why I like the book club, it makes you read books you probably wouldn't look at otherwise.

 

I know I wouldn't have read the Book Thief otherwise.

I'm not on here much these days but will try and join in. And if you want to run a vote on the favourite read of the past last year I have a little (little) prize for the person who chose that book - as I was the beneficiary last year I thought it might be nice to do it again?

Very true and I'm glad you liked the Book Thief (I've lost count of how many times I've read it now).

I'm always a bit nervous of recommending books to people in case I'm just a weirdo and it's only me that likes it
