I know we are deviating a bit but allow me to announce categorically that the discomfort of childbirth is absolutely nothing when compared with the pain of a corneal abrasion....speaking as one who knows!!

 

..... or a dislocated knee joint

or possibly by having both legs sawn apart near the hip and then bolted back together with plates and pins!

 

I've had to learn to walk so many times and the pain when coming round from anaesthetic was excrutiating!

 

But I really don't like the sound of that Corneal Abrasion though

I had an ankle sawn through and reattached with a bit of my hip in the gap then pinned with plates - that didn't tickle post-op, either, if I remember rightly. There should be a different thread for this. I've got a FOOT of scarring, for instance! And kids VB with gas & air.

 

My life in the 70's was very carefree, adventurous and interesting. Hope I can allow my kids to be the same too.

 

Then I went on to be an adult, and broke my neck as a teen, so now have a C5/6 fusion, the ankle, and arthritic knees.

 

The price you pay for the life you lead is the way you look.
