Ygerna
Someone offered 'fabric' on Freecycle (or whatever it is now) and I was lucky enough to be the recipient. I have now collected a bin bag full of fabric pieces. Apparently it used to belong to the chaps Grandmother who was a quilter. I have been going through it like it is Christmas all over again Some of the fabric will find its way into the quilt I am doing at the moment, as its very in keeping with the colours anyway. The rest will have to wait but I am SO excited. Feeling a lucky bunny right now, had to share hope you don't mind

Ygerna
Come on a picture of your windfall Ok, photos later. It gets better too, I sent a little email, thanking him because I really appreaciate all the fabric and he has replied that he may have lots of fleece too, some of it on rolls 'in case I am interested' I replied back with what I hope was not undue haste and excitiment say that I would love some He's going to get back to me. I feel that I should bake a loaf of bread and take some eggs as a thank you.

Valkyrie
Just been watching this and thought of you. I'm afraid I have the Quilt in a Day bug and exploring her website. The fabric bag!!!!! If you go on the "From S"Ooops, word censored!"s to Quilts Series" it's very interesting - I didn't know about some of the things (as long as you ignore the tweeeeeee ness). And a particular piece stuck out at me - a quilt being made over 50 years - so I have a long way to go yet before I reach that record! ) http://quiltinaday.com/theater/library.html
AJuff
I laughed when my friend moved house recently as she was worried her fabric and wool stashes might be discovered!!! She now has a craft room to store her stuff in and her husband turned a blind eye!!!
