...... I have a marvellous recipe for braised red cabbage which I haven't made for a long while, but got a lovely red cabbage from my organic veg man so made it.

 

The tougher inner bit and the outer leaves I gave to the girls. They loved it, but it has turned their poos GREEN, and I mean bright GREEN.

 

I await in ernest if it affects the yolk colour

ooooh I remember reading somewhere (i think) that red/purple veg turns their poo blue so have always avoided feeding it.......we expect pictures of your blue eggs of course!!!

My girls had blue poo last year when they ate all the berries off one of our bushes

I gave the girls my left over (raw) red cabbage with the same spectacular results at Christmas. It is a little alarming when you first spot the green poos isn't it!

The bad news is.... I didn't get any purple eggs
