Cinnamon
Starting a new topic as the marmalade one seems to have veered off on to the delights of mamade marmalade kits. Anyhow, someone mentioned that there was a lemon version, which I have been unable to get, so I contacted Premier Foods......................& got this response Thank you for contacting us regarding stockists of Hartley’s Lemon MaMade and Hartley’s Thick Cut Orange MaMade. kerryegg
Oh dear I thought I had found a solution to my problem,I have an orange allergy and my homemade lemon marmalade always tastes odd. I use organic lemons but it has a funny after taste. Any ideas welcome.
anni-m
I had never succeeded in getting home-made lemon marmalade to work until I tried Ma-made lemon. It either didn't set or turned to toffee. Ma-made (both orange and lemon) are so much nicer anyway than either home-made or jars bought from the supermarket. I did see orange in a supermarket last week but I will keep looking for lemon. Mrs Webmuppet
I made some orange marmalade with a tin of stuff from Lakeland and apparently it tastes fab ( I don't like marmalade - I'm a jam person), better than the Ma Made one. It's tempting to contact Lakeland and ask them if they could get their supplier to do other varieties.
ali-s
Browsing the Lakeland site this afternoon for the Homecook prepared thin cut seville Oranges and saw that you can now get tins of prepared Lemons for Lemon marmalade, thick cut seville Oranges for marmalade and prepared strawberries for Strawberry conserve.
