smokiechicken1969
I cannot belive that my cockerel pecked me today! i admit he was probably hungry and gagging to get out this morning but i had to catch him and put some cream on his legs first. as i put my hand out to pick him up he screamed out and pecked my hand! he's never done that before! i know hes just a chicken but he totally knew what he'd done because when i picked him up he pretended to faint and went all floppy. i saved him by rehoming him, have ruined him with treats, life guard, lovely wives, quiet home, given him love and affection! and thats how he repays me! how ungrateful! smokiechicken1969
Well luckily he didnt use his teeth! luckily it was just a peck. im not looking forward to the added twist on the end if he gets a taste for me! but i think you could be right about the hormone bit, ive noticed that his face furniture has really developed recently and when i was doing his legs he now has proper spurs. looking very handsome i have to say. i hope it was a one off 'grump' just because he wanted to get out with the others. he's so normally so gentle. what a moody pants! although he was straight on my lap like a little chick when i went out there with some grapes hm hmm! laurmurf
hmmmm - this post comes rather close on the heals of mostin's report of Bill's naughtiness. Hormones causing agression in the spring time, d'ya think Redwing? shall i get a suit of armour before I go near George in future?
tom123
Kellogs my cockerel has started doing this as well and as he is a big Orpington it isn't funny, especially when he goes for the back of your leg, Unfortunately the only way to stop him is push him with your foot and then push down on his back
