noyan
Can Frizzled feathered bantam fly. have one polish frizzle and two bantam frizzles. the feathers on the polish wings are quite twisted so don't look like they would be of much use in flight, she is about nine months old no eggs yet. the two frizzle bantams are about six months old. they have more curly feathers but their flight feathers are straight and they seem to have longer wings. they look more aerodynamic. due to their age and now such wet weather have not free ranged them very much. they just potter about with the hybrids. I wondered if any one knows if they can take off and fly???

noyan
thanks for the info. thats good to know, although bramble can climb into a spreading conifer tree. she likes to get away from the big girls and bomb them.
Griffin
This morning I helped my Frizzle, Hob"Ooops, word censored!", achieve her lifes ambition. A big group of girls often jumps on top of one of the runs for a mutual grooming & sun catching session. Hob"Ooops, word censored!" has always wanted to be able to fly high enough to get up there too, she spends ages walking around it, looking up, contemplating jumping but never goes through with it. This morning I picked her up and plonked her up there. She was chuffed to bits, grinning from ear to ear (and those who know Hob"Ooops, word censored!" know she displays her emotions very well!) and I've never seen her look as proud as she did stood next to one of the Brahmas up there

Patricia W
I was told by the breeder that my two frizzled Polish wouldn't fly. One can hop up on to a perch about 18inches off the ground but that's it. Not like the smooth ones- we've had to clip the wing of the Splash Polish -talk about flighty!
