A chickychickychick-ENN!!
Stupid bantams. They look all cute and everything, but refuse to lay. I used to check the coop daily for eggs. But I got bored of that, so I started checking it less frequently. Not a sausage (or an egg). So this morning, we were making squeaky noises at each other, as per usual, and then I noticed a little white egg in the run! It was too far down for me to get it, so we had some shenanigans with a stick and a lot more squeaking, but I got it! One of them had laid! So I thought I'd check the nest box to see if they'd possibly laid another one. They'd laid another eight!!! I haven't checked the box for about ten days (between cleaning). And they've gone on an egg bender. Woo hoo!

Patricia W
Oooh Tom, that gives me hope too! Better check my lot tomorrow. I'm so used to no eggs I only check the nest box once a week. Tricia
