jellykelly
Following all of the good feedback from Henhouse poultry, I will be paying a visit to Ben tomorrow to collect........ 2 pekins - to be named Meilin and Mulan 1 dutch bantam - to be named Willemina I listened to Redwings advise (very unlike me) and have decided not to take the light sussex too due to size differences/bullying. I will be grabbing them in the morning and will hopegully have lots of pics after lunch.

jellykelly
It's snowing. Our stupid council hasn't prepared for it (again) even though there have been forecasts predicting snow all week. Cars can't make the very slight gradient into our road and have started leaving them at the entrance to the junction. I only hope I can get out in the morning. The M20 would be gritted, wouldn't it I'm all excited about getting the girls and don't want to wait any longer!! As you can see, patience is not a virtue that I possess! jellykelly
I have no chance of getting them today - we're offically snowed in. Not one person has attempted the road - and I'm certainly not going to try in my Micra!! The kids schools have been closed aswell. Quite frankly I can't think of anything worse then driving at 5 miles an hour with four kids shoved in a micra, all trying to let the chickens loose in the car. I think I'll wait until tomorrow!! dancing cloud
Disappointing for you today and here's for tomorrow.
jellykelly
I'm still at home There has been no let up in the snowfall. There is no snow in Maidstone either - I'd only need to get 20 mins down the road and I'd be in the clear - but that wouldn't be fair on the new girls. They're nice and toasty in Maidstone, it'd be a shame to tke them from there to bring them here to the snow. The weather warning is meant to be lifted at 2pm - I hope that means that there will be no further snow. I too am hoping for a better day tomorrow
