bronze
Ok not a two egg day but this is so exciting (just got a peggy egg to show the size) Anyone know what type of eggs, plymouth rocks and partridge silkie crosses might lay?

Martin B
The silkie will lay a small(almost bantam sized) white egg!
Martin B
I may be wrong but a plymouth rock should lay a light brown egg.

The Rivetts
I still find every egg a thrill. There's always that "will she /won't she" moment when you open the egg port in the morning. I'm so glad the mornings are a bit lighter now as it means I actually get to see my chickens! Usually they are still in bed when I leave for work, and back in bed when I get in. Roll on those lovely summer evenings, when family & chickens can all spend time in the garden together.
Mel (& Paul)
Yup! I SO agree with you! - the mornings are JUST beginning to get light at about this time and I cant wait until I can see more of the chooks when I get home at night
