chuckmum6
I have acquired two doors now for my cube train and am wondering (after construction today ) if the new bigger door version could go on the side, instead of the end? It has the shaped flap at the top that could be left off, unlike the old one. It is too dark out their so I can't see properly if it would work Has anyone tried this Edited February 18, 2010 by Guest
Plum
I've moved the old one from the end to the side so guess it would work. Any excuse for a picture or two

chuckmum6
Just done it and it works fine! I will send some picture once my Legbar Tikka, has finished laying, she kept going in and out of the nest box, she really wants to lay but is so desperate not to miss out on anything! The other girls are out around the garden so that worries her too! Does anyone have a spare support arch they would like to sell? I am one short and think it would help strengthen the end of the run, so I can do the cube door 'Egg Lou' conversion method giving me another way in! Pics to follow.... poachedegg
So did you just swap with another panel or did you have to make any adjustments?
chuckmum6
I just replaced a side panel with the new bigger door panel minus its rounded top. I overlapped it slightly as it is a bit wider than the normal side panel and it works fine. A snowy photo below. My new door is hidden under the tarpaulin and the old door is at the end. Plum
That's good I had to leave the curved top on with it being an old door.
