Eggquisite
Hi Omleteers, Our poor girls are beginning to suffer a little with Rhubster's constant affections! It may be worth us separating Rhubster in the long term but in the short term I think we need to get some saddles for them poor little things. I'm just wondering if anyone has any ideas on the size we may need for our: Light Sussex Maran Orpington Pekin I'll keep searching on line in the meantime but if anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear. tom123
Click Click! I've used these before and they are very good and fantastic service as well Size wise I would say: Standard Standard Large Bantam However, I don't know if you can fit them on frizzles? As if I remember rightly you have frizzle pekins? I was just thinking about having their feathers pushed down flat for too long might hurt them? Daphne
I'd go with everyone else. The canvas saddles are very good; I use a different supplier, but same design/price from memory. Orps definitely need a large. I'd get them asap as last year our smallest girl had a small oven ready patch on her back underneath a few feathers near her tail before we really noticed (and then I felt very guilty ) and the feathers didn't come back until the moult. It never got that bad on the bigger fluffier orps, and in fact for my biggest girl there was no sign of wear and tear and she didn't wear a saddle - but they are all having them this year.
