ordered the house and the extension... the extension roof is not covered over, but i have clear corrigated plastic on my current set up which i will attach, so will be covered from the rain but still nice and light for them

 

as for the size... lol i dunno will see when it turns up, think the house section is 8 ft x 6ft x 6'5 ft the run is sameish again by the looks of it.

The girlies new set up arrives tomorrow!!!! i finish work ay 3.15 and will promptly be home by 3.30 to build!! well excited, planted up 2 hanging baskets tonight after work with strawberry plants to hang on the side! nice and high so the cheeky madams cant pinch them! Sooooooooo tempted to throw a sickie and wait in for it!! lol

Wanted to turf in inside of their new run, tried slabs didn't work for me, live on very steep hill with sloping garden so they just got flooded :( so instead wanted give them bit of green, now I know it will take them all of 30 secs to trash turf, so is it possible to lay sonething like chicken wire etc over the turf so the grass grows trough it, gives grass chance to root n not b completely ripped to shreds??

I have read on another forum that someone has used 1" green pastic coated wire over their grass to protect the root systems. :)

well its up in part!! will post some pics 2mora when its light out! will be stained and weather protected with dark brown garden frence paint the weekend (to match the fence and shed) has some nice hanging baskets on it aswell lol some solar lights will go on the outside or in flower pots by the door also.

 

Extension run not on at the moment, was soooo cold when me and my brother were putting it together, we did what we needed to do to get it up and ready before it got dark.

 

After all this, me saving my bum off... he txted me tonight saying if we go halves on timber we can construst some WIR/Coops and sell them lol (hes a trained carpenter) bloody typical!! i buy new coop n spend fortune and he then decides that he will do a 'Tony' grrrr could have saved me loads... :wall::wall:
