Gelbel
Hello! BC (before chooks) I had 2 clematis that never flowered. My girls have a dollop of apple cider vinegar in their water a good 75% of the time. When I give my girls clean water I always chuck what remains in the drinker over the plants/beds - I try to do it in some order so they all get an even turn at having left over acidy water. To my amazement my winter flowering clematis did just that for the first time ever - I've had it 6 years. And my late spring one (7 yrs old) that has refused to flower before now is developing flower buds. I must admit that the three I have that do flower look stronger this year too. It will be interesting to see what my other plants do (that's if they ever recover from this weekend's FRing damage from the girls). I cannot put these remarkable occurances down to anything other than having a splosh of AVC water every now and again - nothing else has changed in the care (more like lack of) they have received.
