Laurachook
Ive got mine in a small container that attaches to the side of their run but they dont seem that interested in it, but then they do FR a lot.
Becky 22
I'm not sure if it's meant to be in the feed? But to give the chickens maximum stimulation, I like to sprinkle it onto the ground so they have to forage and look for it. It's also interesting to watch and enduces natural foraging instincts. I try to give mine some a handful every day, if I give it more often than that, then they leave it.
chickinboy
I use these http://www.cotswoldchickens.com/galipot-245-p.asp We have it on constant supply, right next to the food, and it stops it getting knocked over. I also rake some into the ground, so makes sure they can find it while they're scratching around.
C&T
We have a tuub on the side of the run, available to them all the time. It also has shell in it. Sometimes it isn't touched for ages, other times it is hoovered up. Guess it depends on their free ranging time - although never noticed a direct link! Redwing
They'll take a lot if they havent had any for a while, they wont eat that amount every day though, they'll just top up when needed
