Cinnamon
My husband has been very busy building me a new Greenhouse,& its very nearly complete - just the staging to finish off now! We were lucky - he got a job removing 3 HUGE industrial Greenhouses,& getting rid of them, so we kept enough to make a new one for ourselves, plus several friends! He has built it on a brick base, which I think looks really nice,& it has auto openers in the roof, which work & everything! Sorry - I am very excited. It will give me 3 times the growing space of my old one here it is - not looking very pretty at the moment, but I have big plans for it

ValerieR
Looks fab! Lucky you. What are you going to grow in it?
Cinnamon
Half the staging is now in - he should get the rest done over the long weekend (if I keep him supplied in gushing compliments on his work & builders tea) The end bit is going to have trellis up & my Cucumbers. I may put a plastic sheet up to create a small mini climate there of the damp & steamy conditions they like. The far long piece is going to have a mid height shelf as well as the staging,& my chillies,Jalapenos & sweet peppers are going there. The front long bit,the one nearest the camera is having my tomatoes on it. As well as that there will be a few big tubs with Squash in,as an experiment,& a few odd grow bags with salad leafs.the staging is big enough for 2 grow bags deep,so I can grow salads in front of the taller crops at the back Might also consider a grape vine........ There are no ground beds as its on a concrete base, which is going to be pea shingles for extra drainage under the staging areas.
