bronze
Our dog, a rescue has problems with bolting. We've been working on it but its a long process. Today son number two let her out by accident and she ran down to the main road and straight out onto it. Straight into the side of a car. Thud, yelp, whine and a limpy dog crawled off to the other side. I saw it happen, you know when its all slow motion but happens so quickly. People in the car were lovely. There was a dent and a big scratch but they wouldn't even take my details. They were just more worried that she was ok. Bless them. Shes hurt a leg but it doesn't even seem to be broken. I can not believe it. I really thought it was going to be a lot worse but instead we have a dippy dog feeling a little sorry for herself. I think Monty Halls description fits. A tail with an idiot attached (this comes after dd having a pretty nasty accident on her bike on thursday making her vomit up blood lots) I think we've had out accidents for the week Edited May 10, 2010 by Guest
Snowy
Oh my goodness Bron (((hugs))) What a week! Hope both DD and the woofer are OK Hopefully it might actually put her off running out like that, but if she's anything like my dogs, sadly it won't

Chucky Mama
Phew, a close call How lovely of the people in the car not to insist that you paid for any damage
chickencam
I hope that both DD and the daft dog are on the mend. What a weekend
Seagazer
Oh no how horrible to see it happen. Glad the dog is ok and hope your DD is better. We used to have a bolter too, so embarrassing and very hard to catch. Guess its how we ended up with her from Battersea though.
