I have 3 hens and 3 laying but only 2 eggs the last 2 days - I think when they free range they fill up on junk and I noticed less eggs if have long outing. I suppose because they are in a lot when I work I feel sorry for them. Today I had 3 eggs again but they free ranged later. When should you worm - I've had them a month?

Shocks can cause lack of eggs - has something changed recently? Are you letting them out earlier or later? Are they getting more or less treats? Has there been a new cat in the garden? With regard to worming, flubebvet is best and worming should be done at least every six months. You should also worm chickens when you get them - give them a week or so for their tummys to settle, then start worming.

I have four ex-bats but only two of them are laying. they haven't stopped at all since i got them in sept. But the other two havn't laid since christmas. One of the non layers did pass a huge lash earlier today, I dont know if this means the end of her egg laying or not.
