cotnob
Bit of an odd problem with our girls - they came about three weeks ago and all seemed OK, was getting the odd egg then about a week ago we had two eggs on the same day. Since then we have had none. Both girls look really well are feeding and are very active. The Pepperpot has a nice red comb, the Ranger has a slightly lighter one. My In laws said that they might need some grit in addition to what they get from food and rooting about in the garden (they kept chickens for many years when they worked on farm) has anyone else had a similar experience? Chucky Mama
If they are free ranging all day it might be worth keeping them shut if for a while in the morning to have a good fill of pellets. There are so many lush green plants around at the moment that they may be filling up on these and not taking in enough pellets which they need to keep them laying well. cotnob
They free range late afternoon, they are on grass all day, I have lifted turf so they have somewhere to dust bathe and scratch about in. Eating around 120g of pellets a day between them. I think they are just trying to wind me up
Purplemaniacs
Have they been wormed recently? If they are free ranging are they laying some where in the garden? Chrissie
