Just paid for big walk in run from Bay Animal Housing

Recommended Posts

I made my final payment to chris on friday for a nice big 21'x12'x6' walk in run. I'm so excited!!!

However, I am also a little bit worried. On thursday I sent him a text to confirm that I was making the final payment (a substantial amount). Anyway, he responded to the text and told me that he will work on it during the week and I should receive it for friday.

I contacted him on friday to confirm that payment had been made - heard nothing back

I contacted him on yesterday to ask him if he could confirm a fixed delivery date - heard nothing back.

I'm beginning to worry a little since it was a big sum of money and things have gone quiet. IAm I worrying over nothing - please reassure me!!!

Can you post with the outcome of your attempts to get hold of him? I, too, have just placed an order and transferred a large sum of money into his account and am now struggling to contact him. I'm sure it's just coincidence and it's the volume of work keeping him from the phone, but it would be reassuring to know! :?

My run came today

I have been emailing and ringing him during the week. Luckily got through today after it arrived. I wonder if he'd been away. I had a problem with there not being a hole for the cube but he was very apologetic says he's been very busy and is sending replacement panels straight away and I can keep the wrong ones. He's so obliging when you talk to him, I wonder if he has had personal problems or is just very busy.

Panic over. I have spoken to him and he has confirmed a delivery date of a week friday (28th).

That delivery date will work even better for me, as hubby has the following week off so I won't have to attempt anything on my own!

He did say that he meant to ring me, but forgot!

Only just seen this. I know that he has been inundated with work from us omleteers and I think is is trying to keep everyone happy. I understand that he works all the hours including weekends. I am very pleased with my run - which seems tiny in comparison with what you've ordered - you must have a hugh garden :lol::lol:

I will do indeed.

Dh built the current run so he's kind of taken it to heart that I'm replacing it with a 'proper' one. His was a little on the wonky side, but he tried bless him!

I've had to invest in a bigger run as the girls will have to spend more time inside since the foxes are trying their luck far more frequently now.

Aside from preparing the ground work for it, I also have another little project on the go. I have to build a perch tree for the run. Now that will be quite amusing!!!

What's wrong have I been driving you crazy  Lucky you didn't know me when I was waiting for cube and chickens

Most of it  It was delivered Tuesday but somehow ended up with one door and no hole for the cube. Chris had omitted to check the diagram I sent him so he's sending it on any time now. He was forgiven when I spoke to him he is so obliging :D

Because I told him I would make it slightly easier for him and told him to make it slightly different to how I originally asked the cube will be in the way of the door  What a pratt I am. He doesn't want the other panels back so am going to resize one and have an 18"panel then door then 18"panel rather than 36"panel then door if you see what I mean.

Making it up next weekend I hope so it gives OH a chance to sort out how he's going to anchor it and get his stamina up and hopefully son will be around. :D:dance::P

Chris has just called me to confirm a delivery date (was meant to be friday). He's now saying wednesday next week  .

I can't get annoyed with him because he sounds so nice , but I have asked him to try and shuffle deliveries about so I can get it sooner. Hubby only has mon-fri off from work just so that we can get on and get it up and done. I hope he's able to reorganise things or I'm stuffed!

We are new to this chicken keeping business and like other posts on here are finding it quite addictive, we are already considering a WIR and I have noted the comments on the forum regarding Bay Animal Housing.

Just one query, other posters have mentioned a hole for the cube, does this mean that this company can supply a WIR with ready made panel to allow the eglu to remain outside the run.

We have a classic and having the eglu outside the WIR but attached would obviously make it easier to check for eggs (which my wife does about 20 times a day at present)

ps. We have had chickens 7 days so far and the laying one has produced an egg every single day, very impressed :D
