Liz Steed
Today I've had a 24g egg, I think off Nugget , instead of the lovely 75g ones she's been laying for 18months It's half the size of the first egg she laid ever, it's about the size of a quail's egg I suppose Now why is that?? I'll crack it open when the kids get back from school.

The Dogmother
There nevre seems to be a reason for them - just a blip in their egg production, which is more common in younger hens.
Egluntyne
could it be one of those "wind eggs" that someone posted about recently?
Liz Steed
Read the wind egg thread, it does look like that, it is tiny. Will know more when I crack it open

The Dogmother
Perhaps you could paint them and pass them off as chocolate mini eggs
