I remember when I joined this forum I said I was getting 3 hens and then planned to get through this years winter and if it went well I may get more. Everyone laughed at me. That was in March. I now have 6 hens and have plans for another 3 and the summer's not even really here yet. Who knows how many I'll end up with. Now I know why they laughed. I love sitting and cuddling them if they are in the mood. Trouble is all the ones i want are hard not so common (well i think so - go see dream 5 chickens....) i was thinking of a second run and having bantams in that one, but hubbie wasnts one massive run and whilst he is agreeing to more chickens i think i will let him have his way!! meezers Posted June 6, 2010 Share Posted June 6, 2010 We've spent the last 2 days knocking down our old front wall. To use up some of the bricks , I spent today paving the area behind the shed. When it was finished my first thought was ' wow, this would be an ideal place for a broody coop, or maybe a small coop with bantams'.
