Goldstar
Hi everyone I hope you can help me. I have one of the green drinkers where you fill the clear part up with water and screw on the green part and tip it upside down. My problem is that the chilcken are drinking the water but it is not coming down into the green area so I am having to top it up or go into the run and pick it up so the water flows down. This is fine when I am here but obviously not when I am working. I was wondering does anyone else have this problem or am I doing something wrong. At the moment it is standing on the floor as it is too heavy to hang up. I was thinking I might get a couple of drinkers that attach to the side of the run, I know they do them in Pets at Home. I would be very grateful for any advise. Thank you. Olivia
Plum
It could be you are on a slight slope. I would try turning the drinker so the outlet is moved to a different side and see if that helps.
Guest
I haven't got one of these drinkers but because of the heat I have put out a HUGE clay dog bowl filled to the brim so it is cool and has a large amount of water for the girls.
midori
I think I have the same drinker and I have the same problem. I wonder if it's a design fault?
batcatz
I had that problem a while ago and found the holes were blocked. Water still does not fill the green area enough though.
Redwing
I get that problem with the small mushroom shaped green and white drinkers The bigger mushroom ones and the domed ones are good though
AmberSky
I never liked my plastic one and always saw the metal ones on ebay for sale and they were always very old, so eventually i took the plunge and bit the bullet and bought not a second hand but new metal feeder and drinker. they are more reliable and last for decades. Saying that in extra hot weather i put a plastic tub of water in the run as an extra.
