Margalot
How have you secured your grub and glugs to your WIR's? Our new run has 1 inch mesh and cannot think of a way to fix the grub and glug? How have you done it? I didnt want to go back to the drinkers as I love my glug, so easy to fill/ clean etc Thank you Michelle
CR666
We have just built our WIR and have the eglu classic, this came with 2 small squares of mesh (that match the run), these were originally used to secure the gap where the run meets the eglu, hope you understand the parts I mean, anyway we found each of these is the perfect size to attach a grub or a glug too. We put 2 wooden supports running horizontally attached to the WIR timber (the correct distance apart) and then attached these 2 square to these supports using 'U' nails. It works perfectly, and if you do not have these square I think they can be purchased cheaply from the omlet shop
Olly
There have been some threads about this - I use the Ikea 'Kroken' utensil rails, exactly the right size but you might need to fit a batten across the uprights of your run to scew the rail to. Plum
I used some of the run skirt from the back of the cube that I don't use now
scarlettohara
I used some of the run skirt from the back of the cube that I don't use now I did the same and used spare eglu run clips to hold it on
Seagazer
I did the same as Scarlettohara - in fact I made another one yesterday to spread the feeding stations out a bit. The clips keep it on the mesh in WIR nicely.
