bluekarin
http://www.treveaguefarm.co.uk/index.htm Its a bit of a drive for us, but we might be going here for our first ever family camping holiday The kids are excited. Well, I say excited; ED (13) and DS (11) don't want to go anywhere at all. But we are evil parents and they will come and will enjoy themselves *mwahaha*
scarlettohara
Looks lovely, are you in a cottage or camping ?
bluekarin
camping We've only done it once, many years ago, at a friends wedding. I don't remember much about it, as I may have had one or two shandies *hic* The cottages look lovely as well, but they are fully booked, and also you are usually only allowed too book for a full week, which we can't do. The produce from the farm is used in Jamie Olivers Fifteen restaurant but they also serve it in the secret garden restaurant which I think we will have to eat at one night
scarlettohara
Camping for me requires 'shandies' too I'm going to Redwings later so hope the rain holds off. Have a great time, your kids will make loads of friends
Millihelen
it looks great! Haven't been though, we've only been to New Forest and Wareham Forest We have been occasional campers since our boys were about 10ish. At that age they just disappeared and made friends, while we sat outside the tent reading books (daytime) or drinking wine (after dark!) Now (at 16/17) we can still get away with it as long as we take a friend or two and the campsite has a pool!
Sageandonion
Just had a little lookie, looks lovely - will bare it in mind for next year - we love camping especially all that packing and unpacking, getting to your destination and realising one or other of you have forgotten an essential piece of kit - cue major domestic, and erecting the tent in the pouring rain when you're both vertically challenged and discovering the cords inside the poles are broken ........only joking ...... have a fab time
Seagazer
It looks really good, I love the view over the sea. Have a great time.
bluekarin
Its not looking good. I've just had an email from them and they are fully booked for the dates we want I've asked them if they have any other dates free this month, but not looking hopeful. Back to the drawing board to find another site.
chelsea
What a shame as Gorran/Gorran Haven is lovely. Chy Carne near Helston/The Lizard is another site you may want to consider - it gets very good reviews and you can have campfires at your pitch in one of the firepits (book a pit in advance).
