But.... going on holiday, we will be leaving behind our 8 month old puppy, 6 hens and 2 tortoises... oh i will worry. Mother is responsible for them all and watering the allotment - but i think i'll come back to a dead allotment, naughty dog and egg eating chickens.. the faith i have eh!!! Just hope I don't worry about them all too much whilst we're away because i definately need some sun. We have a passport for Jasper (the dog) to take him away with us next year but i wonder if they do them for hens hehe.. who knows.. now maybe an idea for the future. At least the old ladies who volunteer in mothers charity shop will be well supplied with eggs for the next few weeks... hmmmm i think they should bake me a cake when i get back.. i always bake them things and i thought it was the grannies that should bake not a 27 y.o man!! Well here is me passing away the time on my last day in work only 5 hours 35 minutes left in work then nottingham and hot airballoon until saturday then viva espagne.... chickencam Posted August 18, 2010 Share Posted August 18, 2010 Have a great holiday. It is always a worry going away and leaving pets and plants behind. I always have very mixed feelings, the allotment will have to fend for itself, new cauliflower plants and all. We have a pet carer who will come to see the chooks and cats each day. I have also asked her this time to water my greenhouse. I have visions of dead tomatoes when I get home. We pay her so hopefully not. I'm sure that your mum will do a great job of looking after everything for you, if that was me I would be ringing home constantly, I'm such a worrier about the animals!
