Mollie333
Hi everyone! In mid July i got a call from one of my sisters friends, he had a random chicken roaming his garden! Is a fairly built up urban area, so no one keeps chickens. Never mind breeds them! So i walked down to his house which isn't too far, about a 20 minute walk, so there i was walking with a cardboard box down the street. I got to the house, knocked on the door and went through to the garden. There was a small, skinny, mucky young bird lurking in the bushes. At first i thought how on earth am i going to catch that , but i brought a handful of corn in case, and threw it down, i crouched down and he came running up! By this point we had no idea weather it was a boy or a girl. He was very tame. I caught him and put him in the box with corn and took him home and put him in the cat carrier (took me ages to find, and was in a rush so just grabbed the box!) with food and water. He was so hungry. I put up posters and told everyone on face book, they must of thought i was mad! But no one has got back to me. Not got a very good picture of when i first got him. So here he is now! Any ideas of breeds? Definitely a mix. Pictures go in order. (I had to cut some of his tail feathers off here, covered in poo. ) I'm very proud. Edit: The little girls that help me with them have called him 'Lucky'

Mollie333
I was thinking some sort of game.. He is going to have a permanent home here. I'm led to believe that yes he did get abandoned.. Don't know where he came from though! I've actually been looking in the Ad-Mag anyone selling chickens around the area where we found him, like, in case he was a pet. But i think he has been hatched then abandoned.
