A frog scream????? My chooks were out and Tango ran out from under a bush with a young frog held by the leg and it was making a high pitched keening noise . Needless to say I took it off her and put it in a safe place. Dumbstruck though I have never heard anything like it before.

yeah, it's horrible isn't it! One of mine was standing on a frog the other day. I thought there was a rat or mouse in the garden, moved the confused looking chicken and a frog jumped away. I was surprised the first time I heard it!

I heard one a long time ago and had forgotten about it until you have reminded me of it.

 

Not a sound I want to hear again - neither do I want to hear a rabbit screaming either but that is another story.

Yes it is the most horrible noise. My cat caught one a couple of years ago and was shocked they could make such a noise

My cat had a frog by the run door, and the chickens were watching with great interest hoping it would visit them.

The frog was screaming, so I put it in the pond, and cat and chickens shrugged and wandered off. Its an amazing

noise though isn't it!

My garden is riddled with frogs and I've heard it a few times. Their scream isn't nice is it

My OH stepped on a frog in our garden and it screamed. It had been living there for over a week, how the girls didn't find it or maybe they did and couldn't swallow it!!

My OH was upset and convinced he'd killed it! Bless him - he was raised in a town and had never been around 'wildlife', so had no idea frogs could make such a noise. I gave froggy a check over and nothing was broken and it seemed in good shape...but very unimpressed...and within the hour, moved out!

Yes and it's horrible but what was worse was one putting it's front legs over it's eyes when the chickens had got it Luckily DH rescued it.

Yep. Was wondering why there was screeching coming from my kitchen. Ollie (at this time very young ginger persian kitten) had caught a frog and was batting it about.. Didn't know what to do with it.
