MarkBevBen
Thought I'd show you a picture of our lovely ladies Seems they're settling in just fine in their pink apartment We chose their names as they're our 2nd Wedding Anniversary present and cotton is traditional for your second year So we ended up with Cottie, short for cotton and Dottie and Lottie rhyme! Valkyrie
They are new breeds to match the Eglu of course! Lovely piccie, thank you.
Gelbel
They are beautiful - rather like my three - even down to the 'ginge' looking to be a bit of a handful (in the nicest possible way). Those combs look a nice size and nice and red - get ready for your first egg/s.
Burtie14
I reckon that Dotty will be the handful - she looks just like my Betty, with a naughty glint in her eye, but an expression that says "What?? Me?!"

Those combs look a nice size and nice and red - get ready for your first egg/s. We had our first egg yesterday, the day they arrived! How fab is that hey? We were absolutely made up! Then today, we've had another two! Yipppeee!

Me?!" Burtie Well, Dottie seemed to be the boldest one yesterday when they first entered their run and she went in the Eglu bit first. But then Cottie seems to 'talk' to you, if I say hello, she 'coos' back so very outgoing too! Then last night, we observed Lottie making this 'different' noise as it was going dark and then they all packed off to bed in their Eglu! So maybe she's Lottie the leader? They're so much fun to watch though!

MarkBevBen
They look great. How lucky you are to get eggs so soon I often wonder where Omlet get their chickens from. Is it a secret? Oh yes we're absolutely thrilled to have been given eggs so soon! I thought we'd have to wait days/weeks, but there you go! The Omlet man did say that another of his other customers hens actually laid an egg whilst in transit, so they're a good batch apparently! I don't know where they get them from maybe someone on here from Omlet could let us know?

I know what folks mean now when they say you need a nice comfy chair!! And our Ben is mesmorised with them, he's ever so gentle as he watches and is always by my side when we check the nesting box for eggies. He seems really protective of them already in his own little way bless him
