The Dogmother
Good luck to you all, I remember my mother crying buckets when I left home to study. Lewis - IKEA frying pans are brilliant; I've only just chucked out one which I've had for 5 years I have no doubt that Rosie will be travelling and doing uni too when her time comes. She used to be a home body, but that's changed in the last couple of years.
Calamity Jane
My daughter is off at the weekend, she has had a year off and it has done her the power of good. She has really matured, held done responsible job, and is now looking forward to starting the next section of her life. As for me - I will still worry. goodinparts
2 weeks to go here then my youngest departs for Lancaster...He had an A level drama so go in thro clearing, which means he hasn't been given accommodation on campus - so now I'm worrying that he'll be miles away & spend his whole time cycling back and forth with loads of musical instruments on his back...Can't believe that after 24 years there will be just me and the pets at home in the week ~(OH works away)...I know the kids are all fine - but am really not looking forward to the silence after 3 musicians home all summer This may be why I'm becoming so very excited about my chooks, I guess! poachedegg
ES starts his 2nd year on Saturday (well moves in). He met his girlfriend in April (she lives local to us and goes to another Uni) and they have been inseparable over the summer, and I'm worried he's going to be lovesick...... goodinparts
Just abandoned my 3rd & youngest at Lancaster today...he'll be fine but I'm in bits, not helped when i got home in the dark and discovered that OH had totally failed to shut the doors on the All 3 girls had sensibly put themselves to bed but I hate to think what might have happened if any of our numerous local foxes had chanced to drop in. Chooks, dog & cat will have to work overtime for the next few weeks to remind me that I still have some mothering jobs to do.......
