CallyChook
I think I'm having a bit of a brainless day. All my chooks have had names from their first day with me, and I've never had a problem coming up with them but I'm currently stumped! Mildred the white miniature silkie has become Mr Mildred since she "grew into" a boy... so I need a new name for him as he really isnt a Mildred any more. Also I swapped Maud (another girl who was a boy) with the breeder and now Mr Mildred's wife, another white silkie, is nameless. My son wants to call her Misty as the other silkies are called Shiine, Rain, Monsoon and Cloud, but I would like a pair of names for the two whites... any suggestions?? Normally I have no shortage of daft names... think it must be pregnancy brain.
daxigirl
How about Thunder (he could have a good loud crow) and it keeps to a weather thing, also Austin Powers, Zeus, Don Juan, Julio Egglesias (my personal fav). Clearly I've got too much time on my hands this afternoon.
Bramble
If Mildred can't be Mildred anymore, shouldn't s/he be George?!!
chicken bark
Snow and Sleet? Hail and Storm? Drizzle and Tempest?

MarkBevBen
If Mildred can't be Mildred anymore, shouldn't s/he be George?!! I was going to say that too, I love the 'George and Mildred' idea

CallyChook
Well, I've gone for The Count and Mina for the pair, from Bram Stoker's Dracula. My aunt who lives with us is terminally ill and this is her favourite story, having looked out of her window at the chickens for the past yr, I thought it'd make her smile to think we had a couple of her favourite characters lurking in the back yard when she comes out of hospital soon.
