Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I've a confession, after my beginners course I went to Widgits Birds in Reading (very nice) to collect my new Barnevelder chick, Mosschops, in readiness for the s arrival, only I managed to pop a Welsummer chick, Pebbles, in the box as well before coming away. Would have had a Marans too after I saw the egg colour but sensible me kicked in. Collect my CC Legbar later in the week.

I'm in real trouble with mine now....Hoped for cube fell through (it had already been sold but the omlet marketplace failed to notice this) so I am struggling with lots and lots of hypothetical, longed for, future poultry with nowhere to go.

Really, they should have warned us before we started.......!

I think I am coming down with it. I am going with neighbours who are getting chooks to Storrs next weekend. They want my help and advise.

I've managed to keep mine under control for now but its one of those illnesses that never truly goes away you can just try and supress the symptons. Dhs are a good way of doing this and lack of space is another with prudence being the best but it often finds a way to crop up anyway.

I think I may need help with this! I started off with 4 ex batts (only went for 3 but somebody didn't turn up so

we had freebie as well) I then hatched out 8 chicks, 1 Russian Orloff & & buff orpingtons - Last night I found myself looking at hatching eggs on the internet, I managed to stop myself but it is only a matter of time before it gets the better of me.!
