[Treekeeper]

of having a cube with a large roosting bar area? When all 7 chickens pile into the nest box area on top of each other? By my reckoning I can fit at least another 50 chickens in my cube!!!!

My two old girls sleep in the nest box of the cube, one of the new ones on the bars and the other new one has taken to balancing on the devider between the bars and the nest box, stupid or what

All 6 bantams are crushed into the classic nest tonight - some perched on the edge - they looked really uncomfortable The youngest are coming upto 15 weeks now - think I'll put the roosting bars in at the weekend

I often wonder what the point of my whole eglu is . They sleep outdoors (in the WIR) and only lay one egg in it every 2 or 3 days . It does mean I don't have to clean it though .

Chrissie - my special girl, Peg (blind and bad leg) does that : taken to balancing on the devider between the bars and the nest box. She's first in at night to grab the spot -
