An interesting afternoon at work - update

Recommended Posts

Thanks - am feeling absolutely shocking today,so won't be in work this evening either.

Shame,as its our new uniform this week & I have been really looking forward to wearing it!

Cinnamon,

Huge commiserations on getting the fluey bug. Sorry to say, I am now on day 12, and have only just turned the corner. It really is a horrendous and persistant bug. My head and eyeballs still ache and I feel generally yucky and off my food, but at least the feeling hot and cold and shivery and achey seems to have subsided. I am supposed to be going away this weekend, but I am still not convinced I am going to make it. :(

The only thing I can recommend is bed and ibuprofen, nothing else really helped me.

Look after yourself, I really hope you shake it off quicker than I did. I am really going to pay attention to building up my immunity and general health this winter.

Sending hugs

I must admit that I like shopping in Waitrose, because you do get a better class of customer :lol:

MMm apparently not in Chichester, where the majority of shoppers appear to have parked their manners outside the shop

I agree shoppers in Marlborough Waitrose are amongst the rudest I have come across. Very smart, but very rude. I spend a lot of my time there saying 'your're very welcome' to people who don't say thank you.

I must say that 99% of my customers are really nice, but there is a small faction who are rude, abrupt, snitty and just downright unpleasant.

You can spot them a mile off, after a while.

I had a man last week who was really rude to me and the next lady to my till said she couldnt believe how he had spoken to me.

She said that he only did it because he knew I couldnt really day anything back...........I just tend to be ott polite to them, and know that in my head its all said in my most sarcastic voice.

Spot on CM. I rarely go to the Marlborough Waitrose as Andover is closer to me, but they are so rude in there  I have had a couple of words with people about basic manners. Can't keep my mouth shut sometimes

I often do exactly the same!

I rarely go to Waitrose in Brackley, preferring to order on Ocado as it saves time. The customers in there are usually lovely though.
