Is it possible to get her in the morning before letting them out or in the evening when they have gone to bed? It's much easier than trying to catch them! I had to do this with one of mine to give her medicine and there was no way she was going to be caught! Other people use a big fishing net so you could even try that. Good luck!

Most of mine are fairly amenable to cuddling, but the orpingtons are very anti-picking up. I have a piece of large-mesh (maybe 2inch x 2 inch holes) plastic garden fencing, 1.5 x .75m, which is useful for cornering and then wraps round the orpies for those occations when i need to catch and administer powder, anti-peck spray etc. It was about a fiver from the garden centre and is fantastic for catching chickens in!

is that normal with orps? mine are about 18 weeks and i love letting them fr but need to be able to get them in run when need to. At the moment it takes about 1 hour and the poor things look scared to death :( Had ex-batts before and one shake of the worms and they'd come running :D
