cathybc
Has anyone used the lakeland own brand ones? are they as good as the real thing?
chickric
Haven't used Lakelands but have lots from Asda which seem ok.
Christian
I thought Lakeland was one of the few shops that sold original Lock & Locks? I always got them from there before I discovered QVC and the 'mega' packs. Not that I am addicted to Lock & Lock
Cinnamon
I have tried a few cheaper own brands and IMHO nothing compares to the original. Especially after a few goes in the dishwasher.
The Dogmother
I use the Te$co version and they are just as good as the originals.
Christian
I found the Tesco ones we bought years ago leaked if filled with liquid. I take them to work and always fill one up with ice cubes to keep in my cool bag. Only the Lock & lock ones are water tight. It is a nightmare with the liquids policy at airports as I can't take any ice packs through anymore.
cathybc
Thought Christian might pop up on this thread (not that your addiction is famous!) Lakeland do still do the real L&L but have their own too now, which are cheaper and they carry a wider range. Might just give them a go....my handbags have survived exploding coke cans and smashed eggs, so leaking soup can't be any worse....
sadietoo
I always try to stick to one brand so that they stack more easily and the lids are interchangeable..(that was until L& L changed the shape of the ones sold by Lakeland ). kitbag
I personally think Lakeland's own brand is just as good with a wider range than L&L. Then again I do work at Lakeland so maybe I am a bit biased! I find with a lot of customers it comes down to price and I'm pretty certain that the sizes of the two brands boxes are slightly different! Shirl
Morrisions have 470ml L&L on special at the moment. I think it was a pack of 3 for £3 or 2 packs for £5.
