patsylabrador
My parents are visiting here for the first time since last year, and I am panicking. I am dusting, cleaning, tidying, everything like a crazy thing. But I don't know why, they're very easy going, quite happy with a nice cuppa and besides I've been raising a family for 26 years so I've proved I can do it. Still, I'd better get shifting, I just noticed the computer desk is in a right state and the keyboard needs a wipe over.......
chicken bark
Hope you enjoy their visit. If I tidy up I generally find when people arrive they bring that many bags/coats etc that the place looks cluttered before they've even sat down. Snowy
It's a standing joke in our house that I only clean up when we are expecting company. The other day OH told me that his sister was planning on visiting for the weekend. I had just started into tidying mode, but on questionning him about what time she was arriving and how many would I be catering for, his plot fell apart and he admitted he had only said it so I would tidy up!! Someone needs to go on the naughty step for a while I think

Lesley
I'd go on strike Snowy - at least until he's cleared and tidied for at least a month. We had a new client visiting yesterday morning - so hall bathroom and office had to be clean and tidy, followed by my physio appt. so bedroom, en-suite and kitchen also had to be clean and tidy. She caught me out by announcing she was going to see the woodburner........luckily the lounge was OK My mother is planning on moving back to this area - that should keep me on my toes
Snowy
I've given up cleaning for my Dads visits now - he's moved a lot closer and I can't keep up with his visits. I honestly don't think he's noticed though
