bouldercroft
My chickens are nuts! We've had some heavy rain and it's getting colder everyday - so I thought I would wrap the run in a nice clear shower curtain so they can stay dry, get some solar warmth and protect them from the autumn winds. You'd think I had put a coyote in the run! They went nuts - running around and squawking like crazy. They eventually settled down and went to bed... Maybe they were just complaining that I didn't get them matching shower caps?
Lewis
They should be fine with it by tomorrow!

gongladosh
we do the same with a shower curtain - you can get clear ones in Ikea for about 85p or so.

megalin
Brilliant, what they lack in brains they certainly make up for in character don't they!! I feel guilty saying it but it is true!
bouldercroft
tonight I was watching them try to drink the raindrops on the opposite side of the shower curtain.... they really are quite silly this weekend's adventures will include letting them free range further - I kept them in the run for a week - then they had access to the veggie garden and now I'm letting them roam a little further my concern is that we have about an acre that isn't fenced in - I'm pretty sure they aren't going to wander very far...I hope
