Lesley
These were the thing to make when we were in the US a few years ago - very easy to make and great for a quick present. Apologies if you know about them already. Not sure if I can explain it well but I'll try...... Two rectangles of fleece - 4" bigger all around than the blanket size you want. Place the pieces together with right sides of fabric facing out. Pin or tack the pieces together - but not in the 4" edging area. Make 4" cuts around all 4 edges, about 1cm between cuts. Each cut in the corners will remove a square of the fabric. Tie each opposing piece of fleece together - this makes a fringe all around the blanket. Does that make any sense? Ygerna
I've made lots of these The most recent was for a friend who has just had a little boy. Its lovely, big and fleecy and will be great for when he is rolling around on the floor as the tassles are fascinating for them. They are really easy to make but look terrific. Fleece can be purchased easily on that rather well known auction website

Lesley
Ive found what you mean and it is exactly what I thought you meant ***linky thing*** I like it (ok, im very enthusiastic about this - can you tell cathy x Thanks Cathy!! - I just didn't think of looking The instructions in your link are better than mine as well I haven't made mine - I bought the fleece to make one for Jazz but she loves anything with knots etc. - she removes zips from dog bed covers and labels from any fabric........I had visions of two completely separate pieces of fleece and a smiley dog thinking how clever she was

Ygerna
What is lovely about these is that anyone can make one. No sewing, knitting, crocheting (is that a real word?) or anything to scare anyone 'non' crafty, but, the finished results are fabulous.
