I put an eglu go in my shopping basket the other day when they were on offer, as you do! Now I can't get rid of it at all, tried the dustbin button thingy several times to no avail. It's still showing the reduced price, I've put other things in my basket and can remove those but not the go Only got my wooden house for Christmas and it's not occupied yet. Is this the Omlet effect and Morehens disease taking hold already ?

It is yellow Chestnutmare - would be a little bit of sunshine in the back garden . Trouble is OH would confiscate my credit card forever . Weird thing is I got an email from Omlet today to say my Omlet netting and other bits and pieces I ordered before Christmas has just been dispatched - though I received the order prior to Christmas anyway. At this rate I'll be ending up with 2 of everything. Methinks I'd better phone Omlet in the morning!

OH tried it once many... years ago...he just huffs and puffs now ..despite my bill only being for a very small amount these days. I think yellow go is good idea all for Morehen disease..

If the offer hadn't have come up I probably wouldn't have got one so soon... but I couldn't resist. Mind you, it is my birthday/Christmas money I'm spending. So I almost feel guilt free spending.

 

When are you thinking of getting your chickens, what you having?

 

My is meant to be with me Wednesday and it's likely OH and I will get the girls on the weekend. Not 100% sure what we're getting yet, going to decide when we see them. Can't wait.

 

P.S. (A classic or cube might come up in the offers, know what I mean? )

Oooh that's exciting - don't forget to post pics of your Go when it comes.

 

We're hoping to get our girls in the next couple of weeks - possibly next weekend . Have spent today tidying up the garden where their abode will be. OH wants to get paving slabs for the legs of the hen house to stand on so it doesn't sink in to the mud too much. Not sure what to get hen wise - hybrids or purebreeds. A poultry supplier we've been to before and whom is recommended is getting some POL hybrids in next week I think but won't have any purebreeds. I'd love to have an orpington and a couple of hybrids. I think another supplier I've found on the net and through this forum will have a few orps left. Not sure whether it would be ok to get hens from different suppliers on the same day though. Bottom line is we want friendly, docile girls who aren't fazed by 3 kids and a loony labradoodle

Will take lots of photos... well, as long as you promise to as well. We'll probably get ours next weekend too. We have paving slabs going around the house like a pathway so we're okay there. Very exciting. Should be a few more on the forum next weekend!
